At our car storage facilities based between West Sussex and Hampshire, we strive to offer our clients more than storage. Over our years in the business, we’ve built a trusted network of automotive industry partners. This carefully selected list of affiliate providers offer services that help maintain and improve your vehicle’s condition. We’ve worked with Paul Townsend from Auto Curators since we began operating. Paul’s company offers the finest indulgence in car care and vehicle detailing. He is also a factory-trained installer for Xpel Paint Protection Film (PPF). PPF is the only true solution to keep your vehicle’s paintwork safe from impact damage caused by stones and other flying debris.
PPF at our Car Storage Facilities:
We are delighted to offer our client’s the option to protect their vehicle’s paintwork with PPF installation. Paul’s business is based in North Hampshire, not too far from our car storage facilities. We can arrange to safely transport your vehicle to Paul’s detailing studio for PPF installation.
To find out more about this service, we caught up with the man himself, Paul Townsend.
An Interview with Paul Townsend:
Q: Can you tell us the main benefits of PPF installation?
A: PPF has three main benefits for vehicle and owner. Firstly, protection. It protects your car’s paintwork against physical impacts. But it also guards against discolouration & staining from bug splats, bird droppings, air pollution and road grime. Secondly, it’s self-healing. This property means that swirl marks, light scratches and hedge scratches from those lovely country roads in West Sussex will all correct themselves over a short time. Finally, it helps to protect the originality of your car’s paintwork. If you sustain damage to an unprotected car, a respray is a big headache, especially on classic cars, so PPF minimises that risk.
Q: Why Xpel PPF?
A: Because we believe it’s the very best PPF in the business. We use Xpel Ultimate Plus, which carries a 10-year guarantee against yellowing, staining, cracking, blistering and delaminating. The finish of Xpel Paint Protection Film is comparable or better than, factory paint finishes. The film offers superb optical clarity and no ‘orange peel’ finish.
Q: What sort of coverage options are available?
A: One of the best things about the PPF installation services we offer is that we cut templates. The super accurately tailored Xpel templates make for exceptional coverage and subtle installs. We can provide a bespoke installation to suit any budget. We’ll help you work out the high-risk areas on your vehicle. You might choose to have PPF installed to your vehicle’s front bumper, headlights and lower sills. Lower sills will often get ‘road rash’ from stones and grit constantly thrown up from the tyres. Our dedicated PPF website highlights some of the coverage packages that we offer. Find them HERE.
Q: How long do you need to carry out PPF installation?
A: That depends on the type of coverage a client requires. Typically we need 1-2 days for a front end install, or up to 3-4 days for more extensive coverage, or particularly involved installs.
If you would like PPF installed on your car, we are very happy to arrange this for you, while your car is at our car storage facility. We can transport your vehicle from our premises in West Sussex to Paul’s studio in Hampshire.
